Metal Building Concept

Through the course of a few months, I decided to make a metal concept building that would be used as a museum or an office. From image to image, I will be explaining what had to be done to make this a reality (skipping some of the more tedious parts of course).

Initial shape of the building (created out of card and planned out beforehand on paper).

Front and back panels to the building which were cut to shape (and the edges were also made as straight and as smooth as possible with a leather mallet and file).

The holes in the building were cut into shape by using a dremel saw.

The wooden aesthetic piece was cut to shape (first on cardboard) and then used as a guideline for the actual wood piece.

The balconies (and their trim) were cut and bent to shape (then assembled to see that everything fit).

The wooden aesthetic piece on the building was varnished to get a rich and shiny finish.

The wooden aesthetic piece was glued onto the building. The balconies had their metal trim glued to each piece and then also glued to the building.
